      • Barrel Accuracy Grade (A,B,C):
        • Grade A- This means the stock barrel is of high performance and high quality giving you the best accuracy when shooting good quality paintballs. This grade includes most high end, tournament capable paintball guns that professional paintball players compete with. These barrels will have a length between 14 and 16 inches in length.
        • Grade B- This means the stock barrel is of mid level performance and mid level quality giving you good but not the best accuracy when shooting good quality paintballs. This grade usually includes most entry to mid level ($100 to $500)  paintball guns and will have a barrel length of 10 to 14 inches in length.
        • Grade C- This means we have not have good experience with this barrel. This grade is very rare to see as it means the barrel is extremely poor in quality and performance. Most paintball guns now days include a mid level quality paintball barrel. Barrel length can be of any size.

      • Durability Grade (A,B,C):
        • Grade A- This refers to how well the paintball gun will hold up over time. A Grade of A refers to most rental guns or high end paintball guns and requires the paintball gun to capable of shooting hundreds of thousands of shots without many, if any technical issues.
        • Grade B- This refers to paintball guns that might be made of a brittle plastic material or be of low cost. These paintball guns will work well but are not expected to last more than 3 to 5 years without some sort of technical issues. Most entry level and mid level prices paintball guns will fall under this grade with the exception of most rental guns as they are made to be very durable and affordable. Tippmann branded paintball guns are a great example of entry level paintball guns that receive a Grade A.
        • Grade C- This grade is rare as it refers to our lowest rating. Paintball guns with a Grade C would be a very bad choice from our experience and would be known for breaking early on after your purchase with little play time.

      • Reliability Grade (A,B,C):
        • Grade A- This refers to how reliable the paintball gun is over time. A Grade of A refers to most rental guns or high end paintball guns and requires the paintball gun to capable of shooting hundreds of thousands of shots without many, if any technical issues.
        • Grade B- This refers to paintball guns that will need regular maintenance in order to maintain it's best performance. These paintball guns will work well with regular cleaning and servicing. Most entry level and mid level prices paintball guns will fall under this grade. However, some entry level Planet Eclipse and Tippmann branded paintball guns are great examples of entry level paintball guns that receive a Grade A in reliability.
        • Grade C- This grade is rare as it refers to our lowest rating. Paintball guns with a Grade C would be a very bad choice from our experience and would be known for breaking early on after your purchase with little play time.

      • Firing Velocity & Speed Through Air: This refers to the speed the paintball flies through the air. Most paintball fields will limit this speed to 285 FPS (feet per second) and most tournaments limit this speed to 300 FPS. Nearly all paintball guns are designed to be safe to use and will usually fire the same speeds. These speeds range from about 175 FPS to 300 FPS. 300 Feet per second is 204 miles per hour.
        • Double Trigger: Paintball guns will come with a single trigger as seen in real fire arms or a two finger trigger. Two finger triggers are common in electronic paintball guns to allow you to fire more rapidly. Some entry level paintball guns have the two finger triggers but this is for comfort and not for an increase in performance.
        • Air Transfer Design: This explains how the air is transferred from the air tank and into the paintball gun. Options are steel braided hose or hose less. Most mid level to high end paintball guns are hose less for a more sleek design.
          • External Velocity Adjustment: This refers to the ability to adjust the speed in which the paintball flies through the air easily from the outside of the paintball gun. This is available in nearly all paintball guns.
          • Hopper Attachment: This refers to how the hopper is attached to the paintball gun. The most common is by a clamping feed neck. This is a clamping tube on top of the paintball gun that the paintball hopper slides into. The other option is magazine fed, similar to a real gun. Most paintball guns use a clamping feed neck. Only a small portion accept magazines.
